HAGERSVILLE, Ontario — After a lot of hard work over the past week, everything has came together for Coltin Everingham to make his Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modifieds presented by Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd., Touchwood Cabinets, and The Fyre Place & Patio Shop debut at Jukasa Motor Speedway on Saturday.
“I’m pretty excited since I’ve never raced something like this before,” he commented. “It’s going to be a huge learning curve but I’m hoping we can pick it up really quickly.”
Everingham was able to get in a test session at Sunset Speedway, and feels based on the experience, the goals are to keep it one piece and not overdrive it, while aiming for a top-10.
While it’s his first modified start at Canada’s Crown Jewel, he’s raced there previously in his Super Stock, scoring a 13th-place finish at the Canadian Short Track Nationals last fall.
“I don’t think the laps in the super stock is going to help, as the modifieds have a lot more power,” he commented. “But I’m excited for the learning curve!”
Be sure to tune into www.GForceTV.net on Saturday, August 8 to watch the action from Jukasa Motor Speedway live.
