ALLISTON, Ontario — This past weekend allotted an opportunity for the drivers and crew members, along with staff at Sunset Speedway to gather together to celebrate the season that was in 2019.
Each of the champions – Rick Spencer-Walt (Late Model), Frank Davey (Super Stock), Tyler Seaboyer (Mini Stock), and Joe Dunlop (Bone Stock), along with the top-five in each division standings, were called up to the stage to accept trophies in honor of their accomplishments. Additionally, the title holders each made a speech, and were presented with a one-of-a-kind ring that included their name and year embedded on them.
The banquet also saw 2019 Ontario Super Late Model Series Champion John Cadman honored for his accomplishments.
There were also other awards handed out through the night to the various attendees.
The 2019 Rookie of the Year honors would go to Daniel Montanari (Late Model), Connor Maltese (Mini Stock), and Ryan D’Antimo (Bone Stock).
A season filled with stunning wraps and paint jobs would see the best appearing awards go to Dwayne Baker (Late Model), Frank Davey (Super Stock), Samantha Shaw (Mini Stock), and Matt Boyes (Bone Stock)
Scoring five top-five finishes and nine top-10’s, and showing that she could run with the front runners solidly through the back half of the 2019 campaign earned Kendra Adams the “Most Improved Driver” Award for the Late Model division. Frank Davey’s comeback from mid-pack to a champion with a feature victory earned him the prize for the Super Stock class. Curtis Stewart and Aundrea Lusk would be your winners for the Mini Stocks and Bone Stocks, respectively.
