Ryan Semple Drives His Way to Front in Racing Return

INNISFIL, Ontario — After being out of the seat for most of the 2019 season, Ryan Semple proved that he can still get the job done behind the wheel on Sunday at Sunset Speedway.

Semple was fast through qualifying, finishing third in the first qualifier, followed by a fourth in the second heat.

Starting seventh for the 50-lap feature, he remained there through the early laps until he was spun by a fellow competitor in turns three and four on Lap 8. Restarting from the tail of the field, he would begin to work his way back to the front, moving back up to sixth by Lap 32. He would look to continue moving forward, alongside Cory McAllister for fifth with 10 laps to go, getting the spot with seven laps to go. Unfortunately, the strong run came to an end when Semple ran into issues off of turn four on Lap 49. He would be credited with a 16th-place finish.
