Lisa DeLeeuw Battles Hard Throughout Velocity 250 Weekend at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario — Battling hard throughout both days of racing at Sunset Speedway, Lisa DeLeeuw would come up just shy of the top-10 in the Velocity 250 Mini Stock feature.

DeLeeuw showed speed through qualifying, finishing fifth in both of her qualifying heats.

Starting ninth for the 35-lap feature on Sunday, she’d drop back to 12th in the early stages of the event, though looked to battle back as she got alongside Melissa Bullen for 11th at the halfway mark.

The ladies would battle back and forth through the remaining portion of the feature, with DeLeeuw crossing the finish line in 12th. She’d be credited with an 11th-place finish after a fellow competitor got disqualified.

DeLeeuw is proud to be supported by Partimer Sign, Skytec Rentals, Solex Steel, Safeway Towing, BDS Enterprises, Can-alignment, Scentsy Independent Consultant, Jays Signs and Graphics, P&A Plastics, Higher Ground Landscaping, and Cabral Racing Promotions.
