INNISFIL, Ontario — After a night of misfortune last week, Cheyenne Charles bounced back this weekend with a top-10 finish at Sunset Speedway.
Charles showed speed during qualifying, finishing fifth in her first heat, followed by a fourth in the second qualifier.
Starting third in the feature, she’d battle three-wide in the early stages for second, eventually slipping back to fifth by Lap 4. She’d keep battling hard, though, going three-wide with another pair of competitors for third just a lap later. She’d ultimately come out of the deal running fourth, fading back to sixth through the middle portion of the feature.
She kept pushing hard, though, ultimately having her efforts rewarded with a sixth-place finish.
For the rookie driver, it marks her fourth top-10 of the 2019 campaign.
Charles is proud to receive marketing support from Just Two Guys Property Maintenance, Clean Up and Demolition, Earth Electric, Tire Master Orillia, and G&H Auto Service.
