Eric Yorke may not be at Sunset Speedway on a weekly basis this year, but that doesn’t mean you should let his name slip off of your radar. After all, he is a past track champion.
For those who had forgotten about the driver of the No. 51, he reminded everybody of his past success on Saturday night when he won the G.D. Coates Used Car Super Stock feature. It marks only his second start of the 2019 campaign following mechanical issues while running in the top-five on June 8.
Samantha Shaw finished second for her fifth straight podium finish, with Chandler Bos in third for his third straight top-five. Melissa Bullen placed fourth for a season-best, with Jason D’Antimo rounding out the top-five.
Bob Phinnemore finished sixth to tie his season-best, followed by Curtis Stewart, Tyler Seaboyer, Jeff Richard and Connor Maltese. Chris Thompson finished 11th, followed by Eric Rainey, Peter Wakeling, Rob Welles, and Dylan Holmes.
Heat wins went to Chandler Bos (x2, Samantha Shaw, and Eric Yorke.
Tyler Seaboyer now leads Chandler Bos by five points, as Holmes falls to third following his incident on-track.
