DURHAM, Ontario —- After spending months in the shop preparing the cars, both Tyler and Travis McLean got to put down their first laps of the season at Full Throttle Motor Speedway.
Competing in the All Muscle Sportsman division, Travis McLean showed potential in his first start of 2019 with finishes of sixth and fifth in the features. The team was pleased with the car’s handling and the driver’s ability behind the wheel, and feels with a couple changes to the car, they will be able to reach the podium.
Unfortunately, Tyler McLean’s Fun Stock rookie campaign did not get off to a smooth start as he would experience an issue in practice, causing him to get into the wall. Despite significant damage to the car, the team – along with help from Nick and Bill Clarke – were able to make the necessary repairs so McLean could run the features that night and get experience under his belt. He was able to run both events as scheduled, placing 14th in those races; more importantly, he was able to complete all 20 laps as he continues learning.
McLean Motorsports is proud to be supported by Spectrum Feed Service, Innovative Print, McLean Farms and Revolution Race Products.
