The Signs of Innovation got their third different driver in the winner’s circle, with Ryan D’Antimo scoring his first career victory on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.
Joe Dunlop won the first heat ahead of Gary Froude, Aundrea Lusk, Ken Inglis, Karlie Wilman, Austyn Jennett, and Jayde Guenette.
The second heat did not go smoothly, with contact between Andrew Shilling and Jeff Norman occurring off of turn four on Lap 1. Norman was unable to continue as he pulled off, while Shilling was handed the black flag for rough driving. Ryan D’Antimo picked up the checkered flag ahead of Kyle Fetterly, James Pontentier, and Cheyenne Charles.
Gary Froude won the third heat ahead of Lusk, Dunlop, Wilman, and Jennett.
Ryan D’Antimo went for the daily double ahead of Norman, Fetterly, Pontentier, Charles, and Shilling.
Andrea Lusk started pole ahead of Kyle Fetterly, Joe Dunlop, Gary Froude, Ryan D’Antimo, James Potentier, Jeff Norman, Cheyenne Charles, Karlie Wilman, Austyn Jennett, and Andrew Shilling.
Kyle Fetterly would jump out to the early lead ahead of Dunlop and D’Antimo, with Norman up to fourth ahead of Lusk and Froude. D’Antimo continued moving forward, getting alongside Dunlop for second at Lap 3, completing the pass a lap later. Norman continued to run fourth ahead of Lusk, Pontentier, Froude, Charles, Wilman, Shilling, and Jennett.
D’Antimo’s climb to the lead would be complete as just past the halfway mark on Lap 11, he would make his way into the top spot. Fetterly now ran second ahead of Norman, with Dunlop back to fourth ahead of Potentier, Lusk, and Froude. Norman continued to move forward, passing Fetterly to move into second with six laps to go.
Ryan D’Antimo would score the feature victory, with Kyle Fetterly and Joe Dunlop rounding out the podium after Jeff Norman faded back in the late stages to fourth. James Pontentier finished fifth, followed by Aundrea Lusk, Gary Froude, Cheyenne Charles, Karlie Wilman, Andrew Shilling, and Austyn Jennett.
