HAGERSVILLE, Ontario — Running into mechanical issues in the opening stages of the feature, Wally Wilson would fail to complete the 40-lap event at Jukasa Motor Speedway.
Wilson started off the weekend by finishing eighth in his heat to qualify 25th for the feature on Saturday night. Off the drop of the green flag, he recognized there was a problem immediately with the steering rack of the No. 69 Modified before the rain began to fall on the second lap. As a result of the issue, Wilson would not return on Sunday when the rest of the event was completed. He was credited with a 22nd-place finish.
Wilson will be back behind the wheel of his No. 69 OSCAAR Modified on Saturday, June 15 at Delaware Speedway. Notably, the feature that night is presented by his primary sponsor, The Fyre Place & Patio Ship.
Wally Wilson Racing will receive sponsorship support from The Fyre Place & Patio Shop, Larry’s Small Engines, Have1.com, NGK Spark Plugs, and Wix Filters for 2019. He will also be proudly supporting the #BurnOutTheBully campaign and Laps 4 Muscular Dystrophy (L4MD) program.
