Although the drivers were ready to put on a show at Sunset Speedway in the G.D. Coates Used Car Superstore Mini Stock division, mother nature had other plans as she only allowed one feature to get put into the books, along with a single round of heats at Spring Velocity.
All that means moving forward is the drivers will be itching that much more to get to victory lane.

2 of Holmes opened the season with a dominating performance en route to winning the single feature of the year run on May 11. Holmes was a consistent front runner in the division last year, en route to a third-place finish in the year-end standings.
3 Sunset Speedway competitors got mentioned on the second week of the Ontario Mini Stock Top-10 Rankings. Holmes led the way in fourth, with Spira Racing teammates Shaw and Erik Dalla Riva placed eighth and ninth, respectively. The Innisfil, Ontario oval was not included in week one due to no features ran during that scoring period.

13 nights of points competition remain on the schedule – plus the Spring Velocity feature in which the track intends to make up.
16.536 seconds was the quickest lap time during the May 11 feature, set by Samantha Shaw on the 19th lap of the event.
18th of August is a date that a lot of drivers have circled on the calendar, as that is an invitational for the Mini Stocks at Sunset Speedway. The track already announced that G.D. Coates Used Car Superstore Mini Stock has put up additional money for that event.
