After experiencing success in the Queenston OSCAAR Modiifeds, A.J. Emms will return to the division on a part-time basis in 2019.
“Entering into the season we feel confident that we’ve done the work needed to compete for wins,” A.J. Emms said. “Running a part time schedule allows us to focus on singular events with the attitude of going to run at the front. With a strong field of modified drivers, we’ve got our work cut out for us but we feel up to the challenge.”
Emms has competed in the OSCAAR Modified class over the past four seasons, scoring two feature victories, 25 top-five’s and 30 top-10 finishes. Currently, he ranks fourth on the OSCAAR all-time top-five finishes list.
The 2019 season opener at Sunset Speedway saw Emms win his first qualifier, followed by placing third in the second heat. Unfortunately, the 40-lap feature was not ran as a result of rain throughout the day on Sunday. The team is now focused on the next race on the schedule, which will take place at Jukasa Motor Speedway on June 1.
