Kyle Istead Ready for Flamboro Campaign with New Primary Sponsor

After a solid campaign last season at Flamboro Speedway, Steadfast Racing is ready to get back at it this year, beginning Saturday night.

“We had our Steadfast Racing / Harlyn Fabricating Mustang working good,” Kyle Istead told SHORT TRACK MUSINGS. “So we’ll stay positive and continue to build off all of the good results from last year.”

The excitement only continued to build when Istead learned that long-time partner Paramount Landscaping will be the primary sponsor on the No. 79 Mustang this season.

“They are an award winning Landscape company that puts customer satisfaction first,” he said. “We also have Linde’s plumbing, Realtor Steven Tam from Royal Lepage, Pro Fleet oil spray, Dewalt tools, Fastenal, New Horizon development group, and sales rep Dylan James at Oakland Ford. Thanks to everyone for all of your help and support. We couldn’t do it without you.

“And a huge thank you to my wife Misty and my Step-Mom Cathy for their encouragement and patience during the late days at the shop.”

Istead has been solid through his career to date with previous accomplishments including Rookie of the Year, Best Appearing Car, Most Improved Driver, and a couple feature victories. He is now hoping to keep the momentum going heading into 2019, ready to challenge for the championship.

“My team consists of my Dad Rob, Rick Burbridge, Harry Nicholson, my uncle John Istead (also my Co- driver ), William West, and Brian McLean,” Istead added. “They have our car working great with the American Racer tires, so hopefully I can improve a couple of tenths over last year’s lap times.”

Istead knows it won’t be easy to secure the title this year at Flamboro Speedway as the division promises to be strong from top to the bottom with several front runners.

“The competition is amazing,” he commented. “A lot of great looking cars with some talented drivers in their seats. Lots of dicing and bumper to bumper action. I’m really looking forward to racing with all of them again soon.

“See you at the track.”
