7th in OSCAAR Hot Rod Points: Lance Foster

Despite having three different drivers behind the wheel of the X entry this past season, the Foster Racing team came together to finish seventh in the year-end OSCAAR Hot Rod Series standings.

Lance began the night behind the wheel at Kawartha Speedway a couple weeks later, getting caught up in a crash during the qualifying heat. The team made the decision to put his brother Adrian Foster behind the wheel for the feature, with Adrian overcoming a poor starting position to finish fourth.

The team would then call upon Miles Tyson to make his OSCAAR Hot Rod Series debut at Sunset Speedway. Tyson was fast in qualifying, scoring a runner-up after a race-long battle with multi-feature winner Dan Archibald. He then ran up front through the full feature, crossing the finish line with a fourth-place finish.

The return to Kawartha produced optimism for everybody, with Adrian back behind the wheel once again. However, it didn’t work out as strongly as the team warranted with an eighth-place finish. He was able to turn his luck around, avoiding the chaos on the dirt at Brighton Speedway to finish fourth.

The playoffs began strong for Adrian Foster as he was running in the top-five at Sunset Speedway, until a last lap spin saw him place ninth in the final rundown. He then capped the year off with a sixth at Flamboro Speedway.

Lance Foster began the year behind the wheel at Sunset Speedway, with him battling mechanical issues en route to a ninth-place finish. Returning to the Innisfil, Ontario oval a couple weeks later, the No. X was running as the team warranted, allowing Foster to make a last lap pass to score a career-best third-place finish.
