OSCAAR Hot Rod Sauble Speedway Preview

After a month-long break to catch their breath, the OSCAAR Hot Rods are set to get back into action this weekend, beginning with their first ever trip to Sauble Speedway.

Tyler Hawn hopes to build on the momentum as he has no finishes outside of the top-seven this season, with three victories in six races.

The 2018 season marks the first year of OSCAAR competition for Billy Alderson Jr., and he certainly hasn’t disappointed with no finishes outside of the top-six this season. Notably, he scored a runner-up in the series’ most recent race at Kawartha in July.

Douglas Fischer hopes the trip back home continues the trend of positive finishes as he has scored no finishes outside of the top-nine, including three top-fives. Streamline Racing Product’s Shaun McWhirter drove the car in the most recent event at Kawartha, placing fourth.

Nick Clarke has four top-10’s in five starts this season, with his most recent appearance resulting in an 11th-place finish at Kawartha.

Derek Henderson will be looking to get back into the top-10 after finishing 12th at Kawartha. Before then, he had posted three straight top-eight finishes.

Brad Martin made his return to the series at Kawartha in style, scoring a third-place finish which has everybody hyped up moving forward.

Jeremy Martin hopes to break into the top-10 on Saturday at Sauble Speedway as the past three events haven’t his team well.

Art Rodgers will hope to score his first top-10 of 2018 at Sauble after scoring a 14th-place finish at Kawartha last month.

Steve Book has yet to finish outside of the top-seven this year, highlighted by a pair of fifth-place finishes.

Jerry Broom hopes to keep the positive momentum going as he has yet to finish outside of the top-10 this season, highlighted by a sixth at Jukasa Motor Speedway.

Steve Mayhew will be looking for his fourth straight top-10 after finishing ninth in the most recent event. Notably, he finished third at Jukasa Motor Speedway in June.

Dan Rothwell made his OSCAAR debut at Sunset, and be hopeful to break into the top-10 this weekend after a 14th-place finish at Sunset.
