INNISFIL, Ontario — Looking to put another strong run together on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway, Ethan Constable would unfortunately run into some mechanical issues.
The problems began right from the beginning as Constable was blackflagged during his qualifying heat race, sending him off the track early. He would run the full second heat, posting a fourth-place finish.
Starting fifth for the feature, Constable would battle side-by-side with Mike Weeda in the early stages, holding on to keep the position. He’d remain there until he got really sideways off of turn four on Lap 9, causing him to fall deep down the running the order back to ninth. Unfortunately, the fall continued as he was back to 10th by Lap 23. He was set to finish 10th when he’d made the trip down pit road with two laps to go with a problem, credited with a 13th-place finish.
The team will look to re-group moving forward, hoping to get back to the top-five following a fourth and fifth to start the 2018 campaign.
Constable is proud to be supported by Lefroy Plumbing, Innisfil Garage Doors, Pumpmytank.ca, RTI Equipment Solutions, Sturdy Power Lines, and Mr. Auto Service.
