While the first feature went solidly for Ron Quesnelle at Sunset Speedway on Saturday night, the second feature saw a change in the team’s fortunes.
Starting up front for the first 35-lap feature, the KDR Motorsports driver ran seventh in the early portion of the event, before passing Paul Maltese with five laps to go finish sixth.
He would start the second feature from eighth, making up ground early to run fourth after just eight laps. He would make the move for third at Lap 10 on Ernie Fumerton, but unfortunately that didn’t pan out as planned. The pair would make contact, resulting in Quesnelle making contact with the frontstretch wall and ending his night early. He would be credited with a 14th-place finish.
The team will look to get their season back on-track on the next night of points’ racing at Sunset Speedway, which will be Saturday, June 16.
The KDR Motorsports’ No. 57 Late Model is proud to have sponsorship from Triplecrete Limited, Hassell Automotive, Emco Waterworks, D&S Collision Centre, Forterra Pipe & Precast, and Fierce Wraps for the 2018 campaign.
