Kendra Adams Thankful for Rewarding Experience Amidst Tough Decisions

Over the past couple of years, Kendra Adams has generated a lot of buzz for herself through the on-track success in both Sunset Speedway’s St. Onge Recreation Super Stock and Sauble Falls Tent & Trailer Park Late Model ranks. However, she’s also created just as much away, too.

Everybody has gotten used to seeing her each week on Rogers Television with her show, Life in the Fast Lane, as well as the other various marketing routes that she’s taken. She’s also been creating a solid foundation for herself down in the United States as well, moving down there at the end of last race season to begin pursuing further opportunities, including working with Speed51.com.

The decision wasn’t an easy choice to move away from home at the age of 18, but it’s one of the most rewarding experiences in her eyes.

“I’ve met so many different people and experienced things that could not have been possible here,” she commented at the Motorama Custom Car and Motorsports Expo. “So I believe that it will be the most rewarding mentally and in my career moving down there and getting to kind of grow as an adult. Being so young and moving away, it almost helped me grow so much in my maturity level, my learning, and really across the board. The jump into something that big is so rewarding and I can’t compare it to anything else.”

While currently enrolled in Fanshawe’s Online Marketing program, the decision has been worth it, from learning skills in broadcasting, writing and socially that wouldn’t be possible otherwise.

“I think there’s nothing comparable to real life experience,” she commented. “There’s nothing you can learn inside of a classroom will ever translate to the same as real life experience.”

Although admitting it can be tough at times, sticking to her guns has made it easier, and that comes from her passion for racing and marketing.

“As soon as you find one thing that you’re passionate about, you stick to that thing and no matter what you do, if you put 110% into that, you will love it and excel at,” she said. “It doesn’t matter what it is, but if you find something that you love, something you’re passionate about, you just follow through with it and you’ll succeed.”
