The big events continue to grow in Canada and there’s going to be one of the biggest at Canada’s Crown Jewel in 2018.
Jukasa Motor Speedway announced at the Performance Racing Industry show they will be hosting the Canadian Short Track Nationals, with $25,000 up to grabs for the winner of the Pro Late Model event on Labor Day Weekend.
So far, it has been known that it will be a two-day event, with Sunday being qualifying and Monday being the big race. It’ll be a busy weekend for the APC Auto Parts United Late Models of Ontario Tour competitors, as they have a points event on Saturday scheduled. The Super Stocks are also supposed to have an event this weekend, as well, as one of the dates on Sauble Speedway’s tentative 2018 schedule included a “Jukasa Qualifier.”
The speedway will be entering their second year after re-opening this past season, with a pair of successful events. They post twin APC Late Models and an open Outlaw Super Late Model feature, along with the NASCAR Pinty’s Series finale as part of their re-opening in 2017.
This coming season, they will host two Pinty’s Series events, an APC event, and now the Short Track Nationals. Alongside their first Pinty’s event in 2018 will be the OSCAAR Modifieds.
