Despite being a shortened schedule, the OSCAAR Midgets put on solid shows each time they hit the track.
8th in Points – Wally Wilson
With his primary focus on his OSCAAR Modified program, Wally Wilson was only able to attend a single race weekend in 2017, making the trip to Sauble Speedway. After showing speed in practice, he placed third and fifth in the pair of features.
Notably, the driver of the No. 69 Have1.com and The Fyre Place & Patio Shop accomplished the objectives he wanted in finishing top-10 in the modified points.
7th in Points – Zack Millman
Zack Millman was only able to make it out for a single event in 2017, making the trek to Flamboro Speedway in June. Unfortunately, it did not go as planned as mechanical issues resulted in him failing to complete a lap in qualifying or the feature.
While his lone appearance did not go as planned, it was nice to see him back at the track following a scary crash at Flamboro to finish off the 2016 campaign.
6th in Points – Nigel Buttivant
After coming close last year, Nigel Buttivant is now able to call himself an OSCAAR race winner.
At Peterborough Speedway in May, he placed third and second in the pair of qualifying heats. Then once we got into the feature, he took the lead on Lap 4 and never looked back en route to scoring the victory.
On behalf of OSCAAR, congratulations to each driver on their respective success this season and we wish you look the best of luck in your future endeavors.
