After success in the Limited Late Model ranks, Dario Capirchio made the jump up to Outlaw Super Late Model competition, posting some solid finishes.
It took awhile this year for Capirchio to make his first start of the season as it didn’t come until the Don Biederman Memorial at Flamboro Speedway in July.
In the double feature format, he started outside pole for the first 25-lap affair, running in the top-five until he was involved in an incident with another competitor at Lap 19. He was credited with a ninth-place finish.
He came back out for the second feature, having a stronger run as he ran inside the top-five for the entire event, ultimately scoring a fifth-place finish.
The momentum carried forward to Peterborough Speedway a week later, as he scored a pair of top-fives in the 25-lap features, including a season-best fourth. He would make his final start of the season at the Autumn Colours Classic, scoring a ninth-place finish.
The results for the veteran are a definite sign of progress, as he ultimately finished 14th in his OSCAAR debut in 2016 at Peterborough.
OSCAAR congratulates Dario Capirchio on his success, and looks forward to seeing him back out once again in 2018.
