Wally Wilson Scores Top-10 in First Pro Midget Start of 2017

Wally Wilson Racing’s schedule full of diversity brought him to another track and another division. Racing with the OSCAAR Pro Midgets for the first time this year at Grand Bend Speedway, he battled hard to score a top-10 finish.

The team had planned to use their Pro Midget, but was unable to get the motor work done in time prior to the event. So using a flat bottom midget against those with suspension, Wally Wilson placed seventh and sixth in his pair of qualifying heats.

Come feature time, he battled hard throughout the entire event, though ultimately crossed the finish line in 10th.

Wilson’s next race is with the OSCAAR Modifieds at Sunset Speedway on September 23 and 24, as part of the track’s Velocity 250 weekend. Stay tuned to OSCAAR’s website (http://www.oscaar.ca) and Sunset Speedway’s website (http://www.sunsetspeedway.ca) for details surrounding the event.  Wilson hopes to score his second straight top-10 following a ninth-place finish at Sauble Speedway.
