Battling side-by-side for the lead in the early stages of the feature, Will Gibbons continued his strong runs with a runner-up finish on Saturday night at Sauble Speedway.

Gibbons started off the night using it as a test session, trying some different set-ups in the heats. His ideas resulted in a pair of runner-ups, but with the car not driving as warranted, he resorted back to what worked for the feature.

Starting on the front row beside teammate Bob Bailey, the pair ran side-by-side for the lead through the early stages, with Gibbons grabbing the top spot on Lap 4. However, he would leave the door open just a little, allowing Bailey to get back alongside him. They’d battle once again side-by-side till Lap 8, when Bailey was able to pull ahead a little with Gibbons battling motor problems. He was able to fight through them, though, posting a runner-up finish. Congratulations to teammate Bob Bailey on the victory.
