Press Release

Paul Maltese Gets Caught Up in Crash at Sunset Speedway

Unfortunately, Saturday night did not go as planned for Paul Maltese as he was caught up in a crash in the second feature.

Posting a lap of 15.640 seconds in qualifying to be 15th in the chart, he was unable to make up much ground throughout the 35 lap feature en route to posting a 13th-place finish.

Starting deep in the field for the second feature, he looked set to make up some ground, but was caught up in a crash on Lap 4 with four of his fellow competitors. With heavy front-end damage sustained to the No. 28 Late Model, Maltese tried his best through the second half en route to posting a 12th-place finish.

While it was unfortunate how the night went, there have been some highlights this year as he has posted eight top-10 finishes to date, including three top-fives. He will look to rebound on August 5 in the next night of competition at Sunset Speedway.

Maltese and team are proud to be supported by Presto Appliance Repair, Delmeade Construction, Paragon Office Installations, Leitch Performance, Blue Sky Contracting and Landscape, Ontario Steel Sales, Essies Poultry Farms, Auto Trim Design, and OAS.

Be sure to keep up with Maltese Motorsports all year by joining the team’s facebook group – https://www.facebook.com/groups/111504045528057/.
