Cameron McGlashan Left Frustrated for Second Straight Week

For the second straight weekend in a row, a first lap incident left McGlashan Motorsports leaving Sunset Speedway frustrated.

Following the crash last week, Cameron McGlashan showed that the repairs were successful in qualifying by scoring his sixth heat victory of 2017, followed by a runner-up in the second qualifier.

Starting 10th in the feature, he began to make his way forward from the drop of the green flag, though was called as an involved car in a Lap 1 incident involving another pair of cars. There was also frustration surrounding a newly implemented rule surrounding three-wide moves, and whether McGlashan’s move was legal. Either way, the decision to put the No. 83 Mustang to the back for the restart left the team frustrated, and ending their feature early.

McGlashan Motorsports is set to regroup this coming week, and take a better approach into this weekend in hopes of turning their season back around positive. They are set to compete at Sunset Speedway on Saturday, August 5 as part of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series competition. He will then make the trek up to Sauble Speedway on Sunday, August 6 for the Battle at the Beach.

Cameron McGlashan and McGlashan Motorsports are proud to be supported by England Enterprises, ORVAuto, Polished Automotive, Arbor Aces Tree Care Inc, M&S Metals, Orillia Metal Fabrication, Darrell Eacott’s Custom Diecast with Tammikinz Phileac, and MAK Mechanical.
