Despite going through his fair share of trials this season, Robbie Sikes got to see a glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway, tying his season-best finish.
Sikes started off the night by placing seventh in both of his qualifying heats.
Come time for the 30-lap feature, he battled hard throughout the entire event, making some progress at times en route to posting a 14th-place finish. While it’s certainly not where he expected to be running at this time of the season, it marks his first top-15 finish since finishing 14th on opening night. With some progress made, the team’s focus is now trying to keep the momentum rolling into the coming weeks.
The Hillbilly Deluxe Racing team is proud to be supported by Lloyds Haulage, Duivenvoorden Haulage, Nitro Industrial, Polished Automotive, ORV Auto, Southview Too, Kings Marine, Bromley Automotive, Jaded Motorsports, Ernie’s Performance, Walt Fab, and Serem Renovations this season.
