Robert Toope put together another impressive run in his second start of the season, posting a solid top-20 finish on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.
He would start off the night by finishing seventh and eighth in his pair of qualifying heats, resulting in him having to run the b-main feature.
Starting up front in the b-main, he moved into the runner-up spot on the drop of the green flag, remaining there throughout all 10 laps en route to a second-place finish.
Starting 19th in the 25-lap main feature, he’d battle hard to work on making ground, finding himself in battles throughout the entire event. His hard work paid off in the form of a solid result, posting an 18th-place finish for his second straight top-20.
Toope will be hope to continue improving this coming weekend at Sunset Speedway on June 10.
Toope is proud to be supported by The Tree Guys, Johnny Burger, CCL Landscape Design, Rikota Mechanical, Highway 400 transmission, Ernie’s Performance, and Auto Trim of Barrie.
