As an organization Team Penske has dominated the XFINITY Series the last three years, which has been highlighted by three consecutive Owner’s Championships. The new season brings a change to the team, though, as Brian Wilson, who had worked with Brad @keselowski as an engineer in the Sprint Cup Series, takes his turn atop the pit box.
Despite being a new face on the No. 22 Discount Tire team, Wilson appears to be embracing the expectations around the level of performance the team has become to know recently.
“This team, obviously, I feel like it’s a dynasty with three championships in a row, so the goals for us is to contend every week,” Wilson told POPULAR SPEED. “The average is eight wins a year, so we’re expected to produce that amount of wins, six or seven wins, and expected to win the championship. So that’s the goals and what we’re expected to do this year.”
