MILLGROVE, Ontario — Making his move at the halfway mark, Shawn Taylor led the rest of the way en route to winning the Frostoberfest presented by London Recreational Racing Mini Stock feature.
Shawn Taylor had a strong qualifying effort, putting him in a good position for the feature, which he took advantage of. He put himself on the back bumper of the leader, and when Mike Thomson got stuck in a bit of lap traffic at Lap 22, the move was made. Taylor put the Nissan 240 out front and did not look back in pacing the remaining laps to victory. It marks his fourth time taking home the coveted igloo trophy from the event.
2025 Sunset Speedway Mini Stock Champion Jacob Sutcliffe made the late-race move to cross the finish line in second ahead of Bobby Mercer, Mike Thomson, and Kait Wallace. Mike Robinson III continues to put the bad season blues behind him with a sixth in front of Chris Pendlebury, Dustin Goodfellow, Dave Dippel, and Andrew Smith.
Rory Markle was 11th, followed by Spencer Riddell, Alex Stewart, Madisson Tienkamp, Bob Stewart, and Taddum Grein. Blaise Shaw pulled off with motor issues on Lap 36 en route to 17th ahead of Tyler Lewis, Randy Alway, and John Trivieri. Lewis was fourth until he pulled off with issues at Lap 26.
Mike Etsell was 21st in front of Matt Young, Sterling Roberts, and Dan Pettit. There were high hopes for Young after winning the championship to have a good showing, but he wound up pit side with mechanical issues on Lap 9.
