As the race season countdown becomes more clear with banquets out of the way and schedules laid out, it only increases the anticipation for what’s ahead for everyone this year. It also begins the conversations – whose the favourite to win a race this season? Whose the favourite for the championship at each track?
This is why we bring you to the famous Drivers to Watch List where we name off some of those drivers who are on the hit list. We are doing it differently this year, with no set ranking in place based on votes and such. It’s simply going to be alphabetical and talk about those who we feel should be discussed.
Think we missed a name on the list? Hit us up in the comments. Let us know. We’ll take all that into consideration, and who knows, maybe there will be another release.
Cierra Graves
Getting her feet wet at Grand Bend Speedway has proven to be successful as she was able to find her way to victory lane on a couple occasions. Now as she gets ready to expand her footprint across the province, there are a lot of questions as to whether the success will build and continue.
Jeremiah Rabideau
There are certain names that you always hear when you attend certain race tracks. When it comes to Delaware Speedway, you should be aware of Jeremiah Rabidneau. After all, he has been a consistent threat at the front of the field over the past couple seasons and won the 2023 championship with three wins and 12 top-five’s in 13 races.
Jordan Wilms
The No. 22 may not have won the championship at Flamboro Speedway, but it certainly came close as a result of the success put in by the pair of co-pilots behind the wheel. Jordan Wilms was a big part of the success at the Hamilton, Ontario-based oval, scoring five wins and 16 top-10 finishes along the way. He also proved he is good at more than one track, as evident by two victories and nine top-five’s en route to placing sixth in the Delaware Speedway standings.
Josh Berry
Gaining experience through the year at Sunset Speedway, Josh Berry continued to gain speed with each event that he was put in the books. The results showed it with five top-10’s in the final six races, including a fifth and fourth. The icing on the cake, though, was watching him score his first career feature victory to kick off Fall Velocity weekend. They say once you get the monkey off of your back, you open the gateway for many more to follow. Could that be the case here?
Reece Bourgeois
A past track champion at Flamboro Speedway, Reece Bourgeois has proven to be someone to keep an eye on for potential success. Even with just running select events last season, she was able to pick up a feature victory at the beginning of June.
Spencer Riddell
Several drivers on this list come from Flamboro Speedway, and deservingly so with races they delivered and success by drivers. Spencer Riddell should be listed right alongside these drivers, as he put up some good numbers in his own right with two wins, 15 top-five’s, and an average finish of 5.89.
