Cole Quinton Battles to Top-10 Finish in Gold Rush 123 at Flamboro Speedway

MILLGROVE, Ontario — Despite having issues at the beginning of the Gold Rush 123 at Flamboro Speedway, Cole Quinton battled his way through for a top-10 finish.

The rookie started off the day by laying down a lap of 15.321 seconds to put him 10th on the starting grid for the biggest race of his career to date. He began to make a bit of ground up off the drop of the green flag, hopeful of running alongside some of the biggest names in Pro Late Model racing to date.

However, Quinton’s troubles started early event as he lost the brakes on the No. 18 Late Model with just 20 laps on the board. He would not give up, though, as he kept with it through the remaining duration of the event. The persistence paid off as despite dropping back a bit when the issues began, he was able to make-up the lost ground en route to crossing the finish line in 10th.

Quinton has scored nine top-10’s in 11 races this season, including a trio of top-five’s.
