MILLGROVE, Ontario — Battling the handling of the No. 31w Late Model, Rick Spencer-Walt was able to score a top-five finish in the second round of the APC Auto Parts United Late Model Series at Flamboro Speedway.
Spencer-Walt showed speed right off the trailer, just missing the pole for the Grisdale Racing Products 100 by a 0.007 seconds. He would roll third for the invert, ready to challenge for the win. With the racing running green to checkered without cautions and the handling fading away in the second half, he slipped back a couple positions for a fifth-place finish.
Through four races this season, Spencer-Walt has scored two top-five’s with his worst finish being eighth.
Spencer-Walt will be back behind the wheel of the No. 31w Late Model on June 17, 2023 at Peterborough Speedway for the third round of the APC Auto Parts United Late Model Series of Ontario season.
