MILLGROVE, Ontario — The rough start to the season for Wally Wilson Racing carried through to the Just Foam It OSCAAR Modified season opener at Flamboro Speedway, with both himself and new teammate Hudson Nagy suffering bad luck.
Wilson was poised to bounce back after the issues at Sunset Speedway, but found himself sitting on the sidelines after an incident in the first heat. A pair of cars got together ahead of him battling for position, collecting him in the aftermath.
Just prior to the event, it was announced that Hudson Nagy would be driving a WWR entry for the duration of the season. Unfortunately, he the Canadian Legend Series feature winner suffered clutch issues which plagued the amount of practice time he got, as well as forced him to miss the first heat. He came out for the second, placing fifth to qualify deep in the field. He would look to move his way forward, breaking into the top-10 before he was forced pit side with mechanical issues. Nagy was credited with a 15th-place finish.
WWR will look to turn things around at the next OSCAAR event which is scheduled to take place at their home track, Sauble Speedway, on June 17.
