Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modifieds Sauble Speedway Preview

The month long break is finally over, with the Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modifieds presented by Just Foam It teams set to tackle the beach, ready to head to Sauble Speedway on Saturday, June 18.

Notably, the track has yet to produce a repeat winner in nine previous events. Several drivers will hope that remains the same, while a couple hope to become the first to double down.

Luke Gignac will hope to keep the momentum rolling into the beach this weekend following a 10th at Sunset Speedway. Notably, he has scored three top-five’s at Sauble Speedway, including a runner-up in 2018.

Dale Reinhart is looking to turn things around, as he was one of the drivers that saw his race at Sunset Speedway end early. He enters Sauble Speedway as a past race winner, with four top-seven finishes in five starts, including a pair of top-five’s.

Wally Wilson hopes to repeat the past success he has had in the past at Sauble Speedway, with a pair of top-10 finishes including a track-best ninth. He started off his season with a 13th at Sunset Speedway.

Jason Keen knows how to get around Sauble Speedway, as evident by a pair of top-five’s in his last two appearances. He kicked off his season with a seventh at Sunset Speedway.

A.J. Emms enters this weekend looking to turn his luck around, after finding himself sitting on the sidelines following the opening lap at Sunset Speedway. The driver of the No. 14 Modified has had success at Sauble Speedway previously, scoring a victory in 2017 to go along with a fifth last season.

Kelly Balson has shown to be fast when he is in the field, as evident by an eighth at Sauble Speedway in his first appearance at the beach. He was fast to start the year with a runner-up at Sunset Speedway.

2021 series champion T.J. Edwards proved he had what it took at the beach last season with a runner-up finish. He also enters this weekend with momentum following a third at Sunset Speedway.

Andy Kamrath knows what it takes to win, having picked up the checkered flag in his last four starts. That speed, by the way, has been shown at Sauble Speedway as evident by a dominating victory last season.

Norman Newman missed the season opener at Sunset Speedway, but should be fast this weekend. He practiced at the facility ahead of the event and placed third last season.

Herb Walters has been fast since he got behind the wheel of a modified, as evident by a sixth and fourth in his first two series appearances. He should be fast this weekend at Sauble Speedway, looking to rely back on previous super stock experience at the facility.

Despite facing adversity, Jake Watson pushed through it all at Sunset Speedway to start off his 2022 campaign with an eighth-place finish. He hopes his past Sauble Speedway Mini Stock experience allows him to keep the good momentum rolling.

Tommy Robb knows what it takes to get the job done at Sauble Speedway with plenty of experience there, and heads into the weekend with momentum following a ninth at Sunset Speedway.

Bob Franks is another driver looking to carry the good mojo forward, following a 10th at Sunset Speedway.

Marshall Schrenk did not have a good run in his last appearance at the beach, but that doesn’t mean he should not be someone to watch. After all, he scored a fifth at Sunset Speedway.

Paul Townsend will look to turn his early season bad luck around, following an 11th in the season opener, and issues which plagued him last season at Sauble Speedway.

Mike Hearty should be someone to keep an eye on this weekend, following a solid sixth-place finish in the season opener.
