INNISFIL, Ontario — Taking the lead just past halfway, Rick Spencer-Walt led the rest of the way en route to scoring the victory on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.

After finishing second in both of his qualifying heats, Spencer-Walt started sixth for the 35-lap feature. He would get hung up a little on the initial start due to battles ahead of him, but managed to work his way up to fourth by the first caution at Lap 12. Restarting in the second row, he would move immediately into third, before jumping up to second at the halfway mark.

He then close in on the leader’s bumper over the next couple of laps, looking for every which way by, before making the pass for the top spot with 25 laps on board. He then led the final 10 laps en route to scoring the victory.

It marks his second straight victory in Limited Late Model competition, placing him second in points, just five points behind the leader.

The next Limited Late Model night is scheduled for Sunday, September 5 at Sunset Speedway.
