Finding consistency on a weekly basis through his rookie Knightworks Design, Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd OSCAAR Hot Rod campaign, Bob Parsons was able to score a fourth-place finish in the year-end standings.
Kicking off his season at Sunset Speedway in June, Bob Parsons was able to overcome mechanical issues at the start of the event to place eighth. He then led laps early in the feature at Peterborough Speedway a week later, en route to another eighth. The rookie then completed the month of July with an 11th in his return to Sunset.
The solid results would follow him to the dirt track, as Parsons was able to score place sixth at Brighton Speedway to kick off August. He then finished fifth in the first feature at Flamboro Speedway, but was unable to take the green flag in the second due to mechanical issues. He then survived the chaos at Jukasa Motor Speedway to finish off August with a 10th.
He would kick off the playoffs on a solid note in his third trip to Sunset, placing sixth in the feature. He then battled inside the top-10 all race long a couple weeks at Flamboro en route to finishing seventh.
The 2019 season will ultimately end on a rough note for Parsons, with him being caught up in the lap one wreck at Peterborough’s Autumn Colours Classic.
Despite enduring some tough weekends, Parsons showed that he was a solid contender all year long, utilizing consistency to finish off the year strong in points.
