Wally Wilson Keeps the Good Finishes Trending in Modified

PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Wally Wilson has certainly found consistency this year in the Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modifieds, scoring his third straight 12th-place finish at Peterborough Speedway this past weekend.

Wilson finished seventh in his first heat, followed by a sixth in his second qualifier.

Starting 13th in the feature, Wilson would drop back to 14th-place finish in the early stages of the event. However, he would have the lost ground made up by the eighth lap, running solidly in 12th.

He continued to battle hard in the final laps, even avoiding a late-race spin by another competitor, ultimately crossing the finish line with a 12th-place finish.

It seems that 12 is the lucky number for Wilson, as he is currently ranked 12th in the year-long standings despite missing an event.

Wilson will be back behind the wheel of his No. 69 Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modified on Saturday, August 17 at Delaware Speedway.

Wally Wilson Racing will receive sponsorship support from The Fyre Place & Patio Shop, Larry’s Small Engines, Have1.com, NGK Spark Plugs, and Wix Filters for 2019. He will also be proudly supporting the #BurnOutTheBully campaign and Laps 4 Muscular Dystrophy (L4MD) program.
