
For the fifth time this season, Daniel Montanari scored the feature victory at Sunset Speedway.
Tyler Seaboyer scored his fourth heat victory of the season ahead of Dylan Holmes, Daniel Montanari, Bob Phinnemore, Stefan Woyslaw, Chandler Bos, and Johnny Paradzinski.
Samantha Shaw picked up her eighth heat victory of 2018 ahead of Jason D’Antimo, Eric Rainey, Doug Wilman, Peter Wakeling, and Taylor Thring.
Dylan Holmes won the third heat for his fourth of the season ahead of Montanari, Seaboyer, Bos, Phinnemore, Paradzinski, and Woyslaw.
Samantha Shaw went for the daily double for the second straight weekend in a row ahead of Hastie, Rainey, D’Antimo, Wilman, Wakeling, and Thring.
Come time for the main event. the eventual feature winner didn’t surprise anybody as Daniel Montanari made his way to the front, cruising to his fifth feature win of the season, a whole 1.772 seconds ahead of the field. After missing out on the championship last year by a single marker, it’s clear that he’s come back even stronger.
Tyler Seaboyer finished second for his second straight podium and ninth top-five of 2018 as he continues to get stronger with his new ride this season. The third-place finisher was a surprise as Alex Hastie rounded out the podium in just his second start of the season following a sixth a couple weeks ago. Samantha Shaw came back after being spun mid-race to finish fourth for her 10th top-five this season, with Stefan Woyslaw rounding out the top-five in his 2018 debut.
Chandler Bos finished sixth for his seventh top-10, followed by Dylan Holmes, Jason D’Antimo, Eric Rainey, Bob Phinnemore, Doug Wilman, Peter Wakeling and Taylor Thring. Johnny Paradzinski finished 14th after going around for a spin on the last lap.
