INNISFIL, Ont. — After dealing with some adversity the past couple of weeks, Cameron McGlashan put together a full solid feature en route to picking up a top-five finish on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.
The night didn’t start off smoothly, as he’d go around for a spin in his heat en route to placing eighth. He then backed it up with a third-place finish in the second qualifier.
Starting on pole for the feature, he led the first 10 laps before the first caution waved for a pair of spins in turns three and four. Restarting in first, he fell back to fourth over the next four laps. He’d remain there until the second caution waved for debris on Lap 19. Restarting fourth with six laps to go, he battled hard, but ultimately fell back to fifth by the time the checkered flag waved.
While the mini stocks are off at Sunset Speedway until July 21, McGlashan will be racing this weekend as part of the Bone Stock Invitational, driving Aundrea Lusk’s No. 17 entry.
McGlashan is proud to receive sponsorship from Arbor Aces Tree Care Inc, ORVAuto, and Orillia Metal Fabrication.
