In a unique way that is meant to help celebrate and honor history, the OSCAAR Hot Rod Series will open their second year at Sunset Speedway.

As part of the track’s 50th Anniversary festivities, the OSCAAR Hot Rods will take to the 1/3 mile on April 28, 2018 for their season opener. Combining the changes we’ve seen in the track from the beginning, with a reminder of the past, just works out as the perfect recipe.

After debuting at Kawartha Speedway this year, the OSCAAR Hot Rods have been continuing to get stronger each week, with 10 cars showing up for the Velocity 250 at Sunset Speedway near year’s end. With the inaugural squad already committing to another season, along with new cars in the process of being built, anticipation is high for the season.

The rest of the schedule has yet to be released, but promises to be packed with action across the province.
