Travis McLean can officially say his rookie season behind the wheel of a thunder car at Sauble Speedway is in the books, and completed on a good note.
The driver of the No. 6 entry battled hard in the final feature of the season, and despite starting deep in the field with no cautions to help make-up ground, he was able to cross the finish line in eighth-place for another stellar top-10.
With solid finishes throughout the year despite facing some adversity, McLean closed out 2017 sitting seventh in points. Notably, no matter what division he has raced to date, he has yet to place outside of the top-10 in the year-end standings.
The year isn’t over yet for McLean Motorsports, though, as they will be taking part in the Short Track Playoffs, with trips planned to Sunset Speedway’s Velocity 250 and Peterborough Speedway’s Autumn Colours Classic. The Velocity 250 takes place on September 23 and 24, with Autumn Colours scheduled for Thanksgiving weekend.
McLean Motorsports is proud to be supported by The Great Canadian Dog Food, Innovative Print, McLean Farms and Revolution Race Products.
