The OSCAAR Hot Rods have a third feature winner in four events, with Dan Archibald scoring the victory on Friday night at Kawartha Speedway.
Archibald won the first heat ahead of Dan Price, Tyler Hawn, Adam Misener, Steve Mayhew, and Art Rodgers.
Come time for the feature, it’d be Rodgers starting on pole ahead of Mayhew, Misener, Hawn, Price and Archibald.
The feature saw an early battle for the lead between Hawn and Mayhew, with Hawn grabbing the top spot. Hawn wasn’t able to lead for long, though, as he was passed on the third by Archibald for the lead.
Archibald tried to gap the field and was able to do so at times, but didn’t get too far away from Hawn who pressured him through the middle portion of the 20-lap event. However, there was no stopping Archibald as he led the rest of the way to victory.
So in his OSCAAR Hot Rod debut, Dan Archibald became the third driver to score a series victory. Tyler Hawn finished second to continue his streak of no finishes outside of the top-two in four races to date. Adam Misener placed third for his third podium finish, with Mayhew fourth for his second top-five. Art Rodgers was fifth for his second top-five, with Dan Price rounding out the field.
