The Ontario Pro Challenge Series got their feature on-track at Sunset Speedway, but it did not go as anticipated as a result of precipitation ending the night early.
Norris won the first heat ahead of Ken Lillycrop, Kyle Batty, Bryan Stevanus, Rick Seeley, Tim Batty, Peter Hattin, Tim Shanahan, and Caitlin Wight.
The second heat didn’t start off cleanly with Hattin taking Tim Batty and Shanahan three-wide, resulting in contact which sent Batty around. With being on Lap 1, everybody was still tightly packed together, and contact ensued. In addition to those mentioned, the following cars also had damage – Kyle Batty, Norris, Seeley, Lillycrop and Stevanus. Norris picked up the victory ahead of Kyle Batty, Seeley, Hattin, Wight, and Shanahan.
The feature started off with Wight on pole ahead of Tim Batty, Hattin, Shanahan, Kyle Batty and Norris. The action didn’t last long, though, as Tim Batty spun in the slick, wet conditions, leaving Seely with nowhere to go.
As a result of the wet track and rain falling, the races were called for the night.
