5 CRP Drivers Too Keep An Eye On……

Dylan Holmes

Holmes will enter Week 3 of the Sunset Speedway intent on winning his first career Mini Stock feature. The Sunset field is more open now than it has been in the last several seasons and Holmes is one of a number of drivers that could step into the limelight with the right combination of luck and preparation.

Billy Zardo

At times, Billy Zardo has been one of the most exciting drivers to watch on the Sunset Speedway Late Model roster. Unfortunately for the third-generation racer, the last two seasons have been full of mechanical issues and bad luck. Zardo enters the 2017 season intent on turning his program around – and a win in Week 3 competition this Saturday will go a big way towards generating some much-needed momentum.

Lisa deLeuuw

Having made the switch from Mustang to Nissan over the offseason, Mini Stock veteran Lisa deLeeuw stands an excellent chance of asserting herself at the top of the division in 2017. Racing alongside her boyfriend & former champion Eric Yorke, deLeeuw has as many laps behind the wheel of a Mini Stock than any other driver on the current Sunset roster. If she can tap into that experience and cut the learning curve in her newly acquired ride, don’t be surprised to see her No. 84 on the podium by the time Week 3 is over.

Coltin Everingham

After having missed Week 1 with a car that wasn’t quite ready to race, Coltin Everingham will hope to get up to speed in a hurry when he makes his 2017 debut in Week 3. Armed with a brand new Streamline Race Products chassis, Coltin’s upgrade in equipment should have him on par with the drivers at the front of the field that have dominated in recent years. With top flight equipment, Coltin now has as strong of an opportunity as ever to score his first Super Stock victory.

Justin Holmes

Second-generation Justin Holmes is most certainly not lacking confidence in his sophomore entry into Sunset’s Super Stock division. The Barrie, ON native has made it abundantly clear that his goal for 2017 is to rack up as many wins as possible. His brand new ride showed promise in Week 1, and if Holmes can continue his recent improvement, he could very well challenge Jordan Howse for a trip to victory lane in Week 3.
