PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Making his first career trip to Peterborough Speedway with the United Racing Series’ APC Late Model tour, Cole Quinton gained experience throughout the day en route to a solid top-15 finish.

Quinton started off the day by utilising the on-track practice time to get accumulated with the toughest 1/3-mile in the province. The experience gained translated to laying down a lap of 13.594 seconds in qualifying, slotting him in 13th on the starting grid.

Taking the green flag on the inside of the seventh row, Quinton looked to make his way forward through the traffic ahead. Unfortunately, he would fade baack to 16th in the early stages of the KOD Disposal 100. He did not get discouraged, though, beginning to regain the lost track position, running as high as 11th at the halfway mark.

He had hoped to continue the progress in the second half, but was unable to make up the lost ground on the leaders, crossing the finish line in 12th.

The next event on the APC Auto Parts United Late Model Series sees Quinton make his first trip to Delaware Speedway on Saturday, June 29.
