Rob Bromley Returns to Victory Lane at Sauble Speedway

SAUBLE BEACH, Ontario — It was during 2020 in which Rob Bromley found his way to McColl Racing Enterprises victory lane at Sauble Speedway for the first time.

Since then, he has been doing everything to make it happen once again, and has come close. From leading on a final restart and mechanical woes taking him out, to getting passed in lap traffic, each of those nights saw his attempts come up in defeat.

On Saturday night, that was not the case as he parked the No. 6 AMC Javelin in victory lane for the JRS Auctions OSCAAR Hot Rods.

A solid qualifying effort enabled Rob Bromley to start on the pole, and take the advantage early. He would find a couple competitors on his bumper throughout, but withstood both challenges to pace all 30 laps en route to scoring the victory.

Kenny McNicol Jr. was the second of those to challenge Bromley, putting himself on the back bumper through the final five laps in looking for a way around. Dan Archibald challenged early, rebounding from a spin after contact at Lap 17 to complete the podium.

Trevor Thompson was fast once again in fourth, with Tyler Hawn fifth. Steve Book’s consistency continued with sixth ahead of Thomas Wunsch, Travis Farrow, Wayde Thorne, and Matt Hopkins.

Steve McCaw rebounded after significant damage sustained in his second qualifying heat for 11th, followed by Cole Ecker, Hailey McNicol, Steve Ecker, David Rockwood, Jeremy McLean, and Ryan Cowan.

Unfortunately, Jaymee Adams and Tyler Ecker were unable to take the green flag for the feature as a result of damage sustained in a qualifying crash.

Bromley Automotive heat wins went to Matt Hopkins, Tyler Hawn, Rob Bromley, and Steve Book.

The next event for the JRS Auctions OSCAAR Hot Rods takes place at Delaware Speedway with a double header on Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29.
