Since the completion of last season, OSCAAR officials have been preparing for the upcoming 2026 season, set to put on another year of stellar racing across the province.
The 2026 season promises to be the biggest yet, as OSCAAR continues to see growth in both the Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modifieds and The Fyre Place & Patio Shop OSCAAR Hot Rods. Both divisions will see several new faces, as well the returning drivers that fans have grown used to.
Additionally, as previously announced, the Super Late Models are back under the OSCAAR banner for the new season ahead, under the banner the JRS Auctions OSCAAR Super Late Models.
The schedule will consist of 11 events for Hot Rods, nine events for the Modifieds, and seven races for the Super Late Models across six different venues around Ontario.
The season will kick off with a big opening night, featuring a trio of memorial nights on May 23 at Flamboro Speedway. The Don Biederman Memorial for the Super Late Models moves to the beginning of the season, alongside the Bill Zardo Memorial for the Hot Rods. Additionally, the Modifieds will be hosting their inaugural Brian McLean Memorial.
The month of June kicks off with a trip to the beach at Sauble Speedway on June 13 featuring all three divisions (Hot Rods, Modifieds and Super Late Models). This will be followed by the Modifieds and Hot Rods heading to Delaware Speedway on June 27 for Canada Day Weekend. OSCAAR will celebrate the country’s birthday in a big way, with the Gold Rush 126 set for Flamboro Speedway on June 30.
The Super Late Models will then make their lone trip to the toughest ⅓-mile in the province at Peterborough Speedway on July 11. The Hot Rods and Modifieds are then in action the following two weeks with back-to-back events, beginning at Full Throttle Motor Speedway on July 18, followed by Peterborough Speedway on July 25.
The month of August sees a three-week summer break, allowing teams to do things with their families and prepare for the late year stretch, before the Super Late Models make their lone trip to the half-mile of Delaware Speedway on August 21. The Hot Rods will race a day later on August 22 at Full Throttle Motor Speedway. There will be an additional date announced closer to the season during the month of August for the Hot Rods at Brighton Speedway.
The second-last month of the schedule features an event on September 19 at Sauble Speedway, featuring all three divisions – Super Late Models, Modifieds, and Hot Rods. The Modifieds and Hot Rods will be back in action a week later on September 25 as part of Great Canadian Weekend at Delaware Speedway.
As has become tradition, the month of October kicks off with a trip to Flamboro Speedway on October 3 as all three divisions – Super Late Models, Modifieds, and Hot Rods – will be partaking in Frostoberfest. The Autumn Colours Classic at Peterborough will close out the year a week later on October 9-11, with both the Modifieds and Hot Rods in attendance.
OSCAAR is still putting together both season-long and individual race sponsorships for the season. Those interested in being involved can get a hold of Jordan Smith at Jsmithoscaar@gmail.com.
