PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Starting up front for the Mini Stock feature, Doug Butler led the way through the full event, picking up the victory at the 32nd Annual Autumn Colours Classic presented by B&G Towing and Recovery at Peterborough Speedway.
Butler had a strong qualifying effort, including a trip to victory lane during the heats, giving him a strong starting spot for the 67-lap feature. He took advantage of being ahead of the chaos, pacing the field en route to victory.
James Townsend took a car designed in a fall flair by a local high school to a runner-up finish ahead of 2025 Sunset Speedway Mini Stock Champion Jacob Sutcliffe. Will Gibbons and Tyler Lewis completed the top-five.
Chandler Bos was sixth in front of Mike Thomson, Wyatt Sutcliffe, Coleridge Phinnemore, and Charlie Smith. Sutcliffe rebounded after being one of the drivers involved in an incident at Lap 47.
Dave Bragg was 11th, followed by Andrew Smith, Madisson Tienkamp, Peyton Lewis, Alex Stewart, Bob Stewart, Wayde Thorne, Chris Cunnington, Cameron McGlashan, Dave Dippel, and Carol Dawson. McGlashan suffered a hard crash that saw the back half of his mustang destroyed on Lap 47 after making contact with the outside turn four wall, followed by being hit by Dippel and Bragg.
Bobby Mercer’s feature ended on Lap 40 following a hard crash on the frontstretch. He went around off of turn four in front of the field following contact from Gibbons, and then was hit by Taddum Grien. Grien was credited with 22nd, behind Matt Young, who pulled off with mechanical issues.
Mike Nelson finished 24th ahead of Eric Rainey, and Curtis Burnett.
