The Merger Between OSCAAR and United Racing Comes to an end in 2025

Peterborough ON, (October 15, 2025) The merger between OSCAAR and the United Racing Series has come to an end effective immediately.  For the past 3 seasons the United Racing Series and OSCAAR have continued to provide great racing action for the fans across Ontario. When the merger was discussed and accepted by a handshake between Luke Ramsay, Alex Nagy of United Racing Series and Dave Gainforth of OSCAAR. There was always a verbal agreement that if at any time OSCAAR would be ready to operate on their own again, that this merger would end.

“The past three years OSCAAR has benefited from the merger. It has given the series time to learn the motorsports business from the best in the business. Personally, I owe a thank you to all United Racing Series staff, and Luke and Alex, for their support as I dealt with my personal medical issues” says Dave. “I now believe that OSCAAR with my dedicated staff are ready to return OSCAAR to the forefront in short track racing in Ontario”.

Fans can still expect to see the top drivers competing in the United Racing Series divisions, and OSCAAR will continue to have the “ground pounder” Mods and the fan favorite Hot Rods.

“Luke, Alex and I continue to have a great working relationship, and we ensure not to hurt what the fans have come to expect from us” says Dave.

The annual United Racing Series banquet will be held on October 25th in London. Drivers will be presented their 2025 awards and points fund payouts and have a chance to celebrate the great racing season.

The 2026 plans are getting underway for everyone, and if you have any questions about OSCAAR please contact Dave at daveoscaar@gmail.com.
