Rick Spencer-Walt Scores Top-10 Finish at Great Canadian 300

LONDON, Ontario — Returning back behind the wheel of a Late Model, Rick Spencer-Walt made the most of the experience in scoring a top-10 finish at Delaware Speedway in the Great Canadian 300 presented by Castrol with the APC Auto Parts United Late Model Series.

Spencer-Walt started off the day by posting a solid lap in qualifying at 18.540 seconds to set him to take the green flag from the 11th-place starting spot.

Although he dropped back a bit in the opening laps, he continued to hold his own and began to make the track position back up, cracking the top-10 at Lap 49 after escaping an incident ahead of him. He would make his way up to as high as fourth in the running order in the first 100 laps, though fell back a couple spots through the middle portion of the event back to 10th.

He began to work his way back forward in the final 100 laps, crossing the finish line with a ninth-place finish.

Special thanks to Dwayne Baker for the opportunity to drive his car for the event.
