INNISFIL, Ontario — Starting up front after winning one of the qualifying heats, Parker Traves kept himself ahead of the competition en route to winning the Ontario Legend Series feature as part of Sunset Speedway’s Last Dance weekend.
Traves proved he was fast from the drop of the green flag, asserting his dominance before a full field of competitors. He would not go unchallenged, having a series of restarts mid-race that required him to hold off the competition.
Mitch Wright looked for a place to make a pass, unable to make one stick as he crossed the finish line in second ahead of Dawson Drimmie, Joe Adams, and Keaton Pipe.
The race featured four cautions throughout the 30-lap affair, including a stack up on a restart that resulted in significant front end damage for Mackenzie Milwain, a loose bumper for Jake Spencer-Walt, and the end of the event for the No. 6 and Hailey McNicol.
Matt Boyes also ran up front until the hood of his car flew up, flying off resulting in a caution for debris with eight laps to go. He was sent to the back as the cause of the caution.
